Welcome to Christ-Centered Selling!
Establish trust. Create value. Serve the customer.
These sentences comprise the fundamental principles of Christ-Centered Selling. They contain fifteen years worth of discovering, discerning and doing. These three proven principles provide the foundation for, what I believe is, the best way to sell, the best way to influence, the best way to persuade. This holds true whether you are a Christian or not.
You are, by virtue of being a living, breathing human being, a salesperson. Whether trying to convince your spouse, persuade your children, influence your boss, challenge your co-workers, influence your friends, etc., you are a salesperson.
What if there were a guide to influence with integrity, to ethically persuade others? And what if the principles were scripturally sound? Well now there is. Christ-Centered Selling: A Scripturally Based Guide to Principled, Profitable Persuasion is just that. It is a book for Parents & Pastors, Teachers & Trainers, Salespeople & Students.
As the subtitle indicates, Christ-Centered Selling is based on Scripture. There are many scriptural examples of these three principles in action, from Abraham to Moses, from John the Baptist to Paul, and even to Christ, Himself. For example, Christ’s incarnation can be viewed from the perspective of these three principles of trust, value, and service. The essence of these three principles are found right in John 3:16.
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life.
John 3:16
In the Incarnation, God became man; Jesus became a bridge between heaven and earth. Jesus, already one with the Father, became one with us (trust). During His life, Jesus proclaimed the “Good News,” God loves us and wants us to spend eternity with Him. Jesus offers to each and every one of us the greatest opportunity ever, eternity (value). Jesus’ death and resurrection reconciled us to the Father and was the means by which the gates of heaven were opened up for us. Jesus paid the “toll” in advance for all in the hope that all would desire to be saved (service). Jesus established trust, created value, and served those whom He desired to “sell.”
Even in the image of the crucifix can be seen a metaphor of trust, value, and service. The vertical beam is the support for the body of Christ (trust). The horizontal beam is the support for the arms that embraced our sin (value). The corpus reminds us that Christ gave His life that we might live (service).
Establish trust. Create value. Serve the customer. Live these three principles and you are living the Gospel, whether at home, work or play. Christ-Centered Selling: A Scripturally Based Guide to Principled, Profitable Persuasion with over one-hundred scriptural references will show you how. That is what I am selling. Any buyers out there?
By His Grace, For His Glory,
